My name is Laurie Swede and I have always been interested in the concept of gender equality and the progression of women's rights. I am invested in female rights and intend to display this passion for gender equality through a focus on abortion access. My beliefs on abortion surround the concept that the government should not place limitations upon our bodies because the choice of whether to have or not to have an abortion should fall solely on the female considering it. The thesis process was a bit difficult for me initially due to the conditions and atmosphere I was working in, but when I changed out of that toxic atmosphere I was able to create all four individual thesis projects. These four thesis projects explore different concepts within abortion itself. I think that abortion is a fundamental procedure that needs to be accessible to every woman out there.
